Component specs

The purpose of the Component Specification section is to provide details of the various elements of a building or facility that is considered to be appropriate to meet the design requirements of Macquarie University. In many instances preferred suppliers are nominated and identified as well as the specific product lines. These have been included to ensure that any new works will fully integrate into existing facilities and maintenance procedures.

Each component specification is broken down into the typical functional characteristic groupings as represented within "NATSPEC" (National Building Specification).

As part of the design process, users should also be familiar with the technical and performance requirements set out within the General Design principles.
